Friends of York House
The Friends of York House are a charitable group run by patients of the practice to raise funds for equipment to benefit the patients of the practice. They hold regular fundraising events throughout the year. If you would like information on these events, or would like to join the friends, there is an information board in reception.
The Friends of York House celebrated their 10th anniversary on Friday evening 13th November 2009.
During this time they have raised £20,000 for the surgery to benefit the patients.
Dr Kingston and Dr Heath were presented with a plaque by Geoff Knowles, Chairperson for 8 years, listing the equipment purchased with money generously given by patients and friends at functions arranged by the Friends of York House.
Mr Knowles retired as Chairperson and the post has been taken over by Mrs June Powell.
